Demonstration Board for WMS71XX Series (Up/Down) Digital Potentiometers
The WMS-ES71XX demonstration board supports all Winbond Up/Down digitally
controlled potentiometers in the 71XX series. All pins on the part are
brought out to a header for easy access and an LED provides visual confirmation
that the part is operational

Evaluation System for WMS720X Series (SPI Interface) Digital Potentiometers
The ES-WMS720 evaluation system is an easy-to-use PC-based evaluation
tool for Winbond’s WMS720X family. The WMS7201/WMS7202/WMS7204 family
provides a single-/dual-/quad-channel, digitally controlled variable resistor
(VR) with a resolution of 256 positions on a single chip. These devices
can perform both the functions of a potentiometer and a variable resistor.

Setup Connections:
- Run the Setup.exe file from the CD ROM.
- Connect the Parallel Port cable to the evaluation system.
- Connect a 9V DC (500 mA or above) power supply or connect a 9V battery
and turn the ON/OFF switch to ON position.
- Installing the application software will have created a ‘Winpot’
folder to the start menu. Start the application by clicking on the ‘Winpot’
application
- Click on Wake Up Command button to activate the chip (see application
software description for more details).
- Connect test equipment such as a Voltmeter to the desired channel.
- Use the Resistor bar to increment or decrement the resistance
