Jock Ochiltree Named President And Chief Operating Officer Of ISD
SAN JOSE, Calif., November 20, 1996 - ISD (Information Storage Devices, Inc.) (NASDAQ:ISDI) chairman and chief executive officer David Angel announced today that Jock Ochiltree has been named to the positions of president and chief operating officer.
"Jock Ochiltree brings to ISD an abundance of directly relevant experience in the analog integrated circuit industry, including primary responsibility for day-to-day operations and product development at leading companies in Silicon Valley," Angel said. "I expect Jock to settle in quickly at ISD, allowing me to concentrate on sales and marketing, customer development and strategic issues," Angel added.
Ochiltree joins ISD from his position as vice president, Products Group, of Exar
Corporation. Between 1991 and 1995, he served in various positions of increasing responsibility with Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI), most recently as vice president and Santa Clara site general manager, Standard Linear division. Reporting to the president and chief operating officer, in this position he was responsible for P&L and product line activities in Santa Clara and the coordination of ADI's operations in Silicon Valley, including new product development and product support.
As vice president, division general manager of ADI's PMI division, Ochiltree designed and implemented the strategic plan under which this division's revenue more than doubled to more than $200 million between 1991 and 1994. He served as vice president, general manager of the industrial/commercial division of Precision Monolithics, Inc. from 1986 until its acquisition by ADI in 1991. During these years he developed successful market and customer penetration strategies, expanded the division's U.S. OEM account base, and opened the Japanese consumer market to Precision Monolothics' products for the first time.
Earlier, Ochiltree was vice president, general manager of the automotive division at Signetics Corporation. He began his career with Motorola, serving as group leader, fab product engineering, linear division in the early 1970s.
Ochiltree received an M.B.A. from the University of Santa Clara in 1981, an M.S.E.E. from Arizona State University in 1974, and a B.S.E.E. from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1970.
